Trelawney Alliance have been reliably informed  that the results of Cornwall Council’s library consultation were inconclusive, how can that be?  It’s complete incompetence. What a waste of time and money, what is the point of having a consultation if you don’t get a result.  Cornwall Council now say it will be having individual site visits to libraries to specify running costs: surely they should have done this in the first place. Camborne Town Council will  shortly be  sending out a consultation document which will basically give details of the required increase in the precept needed to maintain the library service. There will be a public consultation on Friday 11th September in the town square, town councillors will be present to talk to people about this. Please try and go along. A controversial planning application for 94 new dwellings and a 60 bed residential care facility at Tregenna Fields is to go before the Cornwall West planning committee at Penzance on 24th August. The planning officer is Peter Bainbridge and alarmingly he has recommended approval.
